The Shard of Evernight

Image
The Shard of Evernight The stars above the kingdom of Eldoria flickered like candle flames, as if whispering secrets only the wind could understand. Deep within the Enshadowed Forest, a girl named Lys moved with purpose, her cloak damp with mist and her heart pounding against her ribs. The world had taken everything from her, but tonight, she would claim something in return. She stepped through gnarled roots and tangled vines, following the ghostly blue glow in the distance. The tales spoke of a lake hidden at the heart of the forest—a place where time itself unravelled. It was here, beneath the water’s silver gleam, that the Shard of Evernight was said to rest. A relic older than kings, older than the world itself. Lys stopped at the edge of the lake. The water shimmered unnaturally, pulsing like a living heart. The moment her foot brushed the shore, the ground trembled. A voice, deep and ancient, rolled through the air like distant thunder. "Who seeks the gift of th...

A Real Short Story

Image
A Real Short Story  Here’s something unexpected—one time, I wrote a short story that was so convincing, someone thought it was a real memory of mine. It was about me getting lost in a foreign city, following a stray cat through winding alleyways until I stumbled upon a hidden bookshop that didn’t seem to exist on any map. The person reading it asked me where this bookshop was, saying they wanted to visit it. When I told them it was fiction, they refused to believe me! That got me thinking—maybe stories can be so real that they become part of reality in someone’s mind. Maybe somewhere out there, that bookshop does exist now, just because someone believed in it. What about you? Have you ever had a moment where fiction and reality blurred?

The Perfect Pebble

Image
The Perfect Pebble An old man named Ravi lived by the sea, spending his days collecting pebbles along the shore. Every morning, he would walk barefoot, picking up smooth stones, feeling their weight, and tossing the dull ones back into the waves. One day, a curious boy named Aryan watched him. "Why do you do this every day, Grandpa?" he asked. Ravi smiled. "I search for the perfect pebble." Aryan frowned. "But the ocean has millions! How can you ever find the perfect one?" Ravi chuckled, handing the boy a stone. "Feel this—rough, right? But over time, the waves polish it, just like life shapes us. Some stones crack under pressure, while others become smooth and beautiful." The boy turned the pebble in his palm. "So, does that mean life is about becoming the perfect stone?" Ravi shook his head. "No, Aryan. Life is about embracing the journey, the tides that shape us, and learning which pebbles to keep and which to let ...

The Magical Forest

Image
The Magical Forest   The forest hummed with a quiet magic, its ancient trees stretching toward the sky, their leaves shimmering with an ethereal glow. Deep within this enchanted realm, a young girl named Liora wandered cautiously, her lantern flickering against the twilight mist. She had heard the legends—of whispering willows, mischievous sprites, and the elusive Heart bloom, a flower said to grant one true wish. As she stepped over twisting roots, a rustling in the underbrush made her pause. A small creature, no larger than a hare, peered up at her with gemstone-like eyes. Its fur shimmered in hues of silver and lavender. Liora knelt, extending a hand. The creature chittered softly before leaping into the air, its tiny wings unfolding like petals in bloom. "You're leading me somewhere, aren’t you?" Liora whispered, following as it flitted ahead. The deeper she went, the more the forest changed. Fireflies wove golden patterns in the air, and the trees bent ev...

Short stories on different culture

Short stories on different culture:-   Here are three short stories set in different cultures: 1.      The Kite Maker’s Dream (India)   Under the golden sky of Varanasi, young Aarav watched his grandfather, Dadaji, craft a vibrant blue kite. “This one will fly higher than the temple spires,” Dadaji said, smoothing the paper. On Makar Sankranti, the festival of kites, Aarav ran to the rooftop with his creation. He battled against other kites, slicing them down with his glass-coated string. But a strong gust sent his kite spiralling away, landing near the sacred Ganges. Disheartened, he ran to fetch it and found a ragged boy holding it. “Yours?” the boy asked, eyes hopeful. Aarav hesitated, then shook his head. “It’s yours now.” As the boy’s face lit up, Aarav understood what Dadaji meant—some kites fly higher in the heart than in the sky.   2.      The Sakura Promise (Japan)   Asako...

The Man Who Left Yesterday

Image
The Man Who Left Yesterday Elliot Blake had never been good at goodbyes. That’s why he built a time machine.💪 The first time he used it, he only went back a day—just long enough to undo a regrettable conversation. Then he went back a week, a month, a year. He tweaked, fixed, and mended until his past was flawless. But the problem with perfection is that it never lasts. One night, standing in the dim glow of his machine’s control panel, Elliot realized he was afraid of the future. No matter how many times he rewrote the past, the unknown still loomed ahead, untouchable. So, he made a decision. He would keep moving backward.😊 Elliot leaped past his childhood, beyond his birth, further into history than any human should. The machine hummed around him, vibrating with an eerie resonance as the years peeled away in a blur. At first, it was familiar—a rewind of his life’s ba...
